Simple Tip 2.0 Now Available
We’ve updated Simple Tip to work with Windows Phone Mango! In addition to Windows Phone 7.5 compatibility, we’ve also added a few new features and tightened up the user interface in several areas.

Microsoft’s ad campaign is kicking into high gear with the first Windows Phone 7 ads.
First up is one of the funnier ads I’ve seen in a while and it looks like Microsoft is hitting just the right notes and focusing on the unique way Windows Phone 7′s “Glance and Go” mantra could change our relationship with our phones.
Next up is the Windows Phone 7 web promo highlighting the new devices unveiled yesterday.
Windows Phone 7 to debut on 10 handsets in the US
Microsoft announced today that Windows Phone 7 would launch on November 8, 2010 on 10 handsets in the US. Both T-Mobile and AT&T will offer the new OS on a wide range of devices from makers LG, HTC, Samsung and Dell. Endgadget and Neowin (here and here) both have excellent reviews of the devices showcased at today’s launch event.

Windows Phone 7 Portal is Live!
Microsoft is barrelling toward the world wide launch of Windows Phone 7 with today’s release of the new Windows Phone 7 Portal. The new web site allows users to watch video demos, check out the available phones (none are listed yet) and a whole lot more.

Simple Tip approved for early Marketplace submission
Last week Microsoft announced that they would be opening their brand new Marketplace developer portal on October 11, 2010, so developers could begin submitting their applications for inclusion. Four hours later our submission for Simple Tip was on its way and we’re been approved! Simple Tip is all ready to go and will be submitted to the Windows Phone Marketplace on Monday, October 11th for certification.
